Work Mode: In-office (3 days/week). Netflix is looking for a Manager to lead and support publicity campaigns for our U.S. Nonfiction team, with a focus on documentary films and series. This is a high-impact role shaping narratives for awards-driven titles, true crime, and social justice content.
Role: Manager, Documentary Publicity
The ideal candidate is deeply passionate about nonfiction storytelling and brings a proven track record of executing film and series publicity campaigns, including a deep understanding of documentary film Awards campaigns (AMPAS). You will lead campaign strategy from early positioning through release and awards season across multiple titles.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading campaign strategy and execution for documentary films and series.
- Developing creative, press-driven ideas to drive cultural conversation.
- Managing cross-functional relationships with filmmakers, talent, and global teams.
- Partnering closely with the Awards team on strategy, campaigns, and submissions.
- Maintaining strong relationships with top-tier media across entertainment and news.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in entertainment publicity (studio, streamer, or agency).
- Deep experience with documentary campaigns and AMPAS doc branch relationships.
- Ability to manage a high-volume slate and multiple high-priority campaigns.
- Resourceful decision-maker comfortable working hands-on across all aspects of a campaign.
Compensation Range
The base salary range for this role is $171,000.00 - $293,000.00. Netflix offers a unique structure where you choose the balance between salary and stock options.
