This is a unique opportunity to join the team of the number one morning show in America, collaborating directly with producers and editorial teams.

About the Role & Program

Join the committed team that delivers the top-rated morning show in America – Good Morning America! GMA interns provide production support to booking, first hour, second hour or field and series teams.

Throughout the experience, interns have an opportunity to collaborate with producers, attend editorial meetings and learn the inner workings of America’s number one morning show.

What You Will Do

Support staff by answering phones and attending morning/afternoon editorial meetings.
Booking guests, writing scripts, and producing taped content.
Research topics using video archives, the internet, and library archives.
Handling mail and providing additional support functions as needed.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Previous experience (academic or internship) in journalism, television production, or news media production.
Experience multi-tasking in a constantly evolving work environment.
Knowledge of and/or interest in GMA’s daily show.
Education: Major in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, Film/Television or related field (Junior or Senior year preferred).

Eligibility Requirements & Information

Pay Rate: The pay rate for this role in New York is $22.50 per hour.

Dates: June 2026 through early January 2027.

Availability: Fully available to work 40 hours per week (early mornings, nights, weekends).

Location: Must provide own housing and reliable transportation in the New York, NY area.
